Soccatoos and its people Soccatoos was formally established in 2006. Since that time, Soccatoos has conducted more than 500 separate soccer activity and development program sessions. Soccatoos is wholly Australian owned and operated and was established in metropolitan Sydney, in the local government area which is home to the largest amateur soccer association in the Southern Hemisphere. The Soccatoos team (including its owners/operators and senior coaching staff) represents collectively more than 100 years of soccer playing, coaching and administrative experience. All senior Soccatoos coaching staff hold Australia Sports Commission / Football Federation Australia soccer coaching accreditation and remain involved in amateur soccer in various roles and at various levels. The Soccatoos team also includes qualified and experienced childcare industry workers and many have previous specific nursery soccer coaching experience. Soccatoos people are passionate about soccer and most have children involved in soccer. All Soccatoos coaches receive dedicated induction and ongoing training. A childcare industry consultant is available to all coaches for guidance and support. All coaching staff are appropriately screened to ensure child protection standards are upheld. Soccatoos also seeks to foster at an early age, the healthy habit of regular exercise. At the same time, for those children choosing to continue playing soccer, Soccatoos seeks to provide participants with an introduction to the fundamentals of soccer, thereby fostering self confidence and maximising enjoyment. Soccatoos - program objectives The Soccatoos concept evolved from the successful operation of nursery soccer programs at two amateur soccer clubs, for collectively more than 10 years. Soccatoos is a nursery soccer program for pre-school and pre-competition aged children. Soccatoos programs seek to introduce young children to team sport (soccer) in an unthreatening, enjoyable, non-elite and non-competitive environment. Soccatoos also seeks to foster at an early age sound fundamental soccer skills, healthy habits and fair play values. And Soccatoos introduces children to important social skills development. The Soccatoos philosophy is that young children should never be forced to participate in or meet performance expectations of competitive sport. Rather, Soccatoos believes that if introduction to team sport is warm, welcoming and ultimately fun, children will eagerly participate, enjoy and learn. At Soccatoos, whilst everyone collectively enjoys goals being scored, far more celebrated outcomes involve child participation, enjoyment, development and achievement. The testimonials posted on this website from time to time provide clear evidence that Soccatoos programs are absolutely consistent with our non-elite and non-competitive brand. For those children choosing to register and play soccer with a local amateur club in later years, Soccatoos will at least have provided them with:
The Soccatoos team hopes that children enjoy participating in Soccatoos programs just as much as we enjoy bringing them to you. See you at Soccatoos!
